The Tour Down Under was first staged in 1999 with local rider Stuart O’Grady taking the win. Since then, numerous internationally renowned cyclists have joined the Honour Roll including Patrick Jonker, Luis Leon Sanchez, André Greipel, Simon Gerrans, Richie Porte, Daryl Impey and many more. The event has grown year-on-year to become the biggest cycling race in the southern hemisphere.

This tour will allow you to see the men's event from start to finish, along with the thrilling finale to the Women's Tour Down Under. We look after everything, from the moment you arrive in Adelaide until you depart following a truly memorable experience at the TDU.

Our ultimate 9 day tour will ensure you see the very best of the TDU, enjoy amazing cycling and experience so much more off the bike.


Cycling through some of the most picturesque countryside in Australia and watching the TDU racing excitement are only parts of the overall tour experience. Our full tour package also includes lunch and wine tastings at one of the best wineries in the Barossa, dining in some of the best restaurants in Adelaide and enjoying pre-dinner drinks and appetisers
in a local wine bar and more.

We have secured an exclusive venue with balcony overlooking the finish straight to watch the first race of the 2021 season, the Schwalbe Classic. You will also enjoy watching the famous Willunga Hill stage from the comfort of our dedicated viewing area while enjoying a beautiful lunch and some of the amazing local wines, beers and ciders.

Or, if you simply want to join us for a fully supported guided ride each day of the tour to ensure you see the best parts of the race each day then we also have a tour option for you. ITINERARY

DAY 1 - Welcome and Schwalbe Classic


Sunday 17 Jan, 2021

TDU Race: The Schwalbe Classic is the traditional curtain-raiser to the Santos Tour Down Under, with riders to take on a challenging circuit.

Adelaide Airport Pickup Time: 12.00pm (or meet at the Hilton Adelaide at 2.00pm)
Our team will meet you at Adelaide Airport and transport you back to your accommodation. We will arrange a time to meet you at your hotel to provide any assistance you may need, including helping to build your bike following your travel to Adelaide. All bikes will need to be checked by our mechanic before we depart to ensure they are all safe to ride.

Today's ride: 2pm departure | Post travel recovery ride of 36km / 22.4 miles - 172m / 564 feet
We will meet out the front of the Hilton Adelaide at 2pm for our post travel recovery ride to enjoy a coffee down at Henley Beach. This will provide everyone with a chance to test their bikes and spin the legs before a big week of cycling ahead. We should arrive back at your hotel around 4.30pm, to allow you time to check-in and freshen up before heading out to our welcome function.

Depart to watch the Schwalbe Classic: 5.30pm
Once again, we will meet out the front of the Hilton Adelaide before enjoying a short walk to our private welcome function to watch the Schwalbe Classic.

Special Treat: Exclusive venue with balcony overlooking the finish straight.
Our exclusive venue has a large balcony overlooking the finish straight, close to the final left-hand corner. A perfect location to view the first race on the program. Here we will enjoy canapes, beer, wine and ciders as we sit back and enjoy watching the race. An ideal way to get to know each other before we kick off a huge week ahead! We will also distribute your Welcome to the TDU pack, full of gifts from our sponsors and local partners.


DAY 2 - Pro Rest Day


Monday 18 Jan, 2021

TDU Race: Today is a rest day for the pro's, but we are sure to see some teams out training hard on our ride today.

Optional Santini Group Ride, powered by Connect Sport: 6:30am
If you are keen for an early start you are more than welcome to join us for the Santini Group Ride, powered by Connect Sport. You need to register online (we'll provide you with the details) and arrive at 6:00am to check in at the Santini stand in the City of Adelaide Tour Village. This morning’s ride will take us down to Outer Harbour and back. A flat 55km ride with a free Santini gift bag and coffee on our return to the City of Adelaide Tour Village. Just be warned that we will only get back just prior to our official tour ride departure time of 9:30am!

Today's ride: 9.30am departure | 117km / 72.7 miles - 1,908m / 6,260 feet
We will meet out the front of the Hilton Adelaide at 9.30am for our first ride into the Adelaide Hills. We start climbing only 4km's from town and this will take us up to the famous Mount Lofty Summit lookout. There is no better view in Adelaide! From here we will have rolling hills until we reach the base of our final challenge of the day, Corkscrew Road. This road has been included in many editions of the TDU and will challenge many after a long day through the hills. But the reward at the top is the flowing descent right back to the CBD. We should arrive back in time to visit the City of Adelaide Tour Village to watch the pro mechanics in action, see the latest products from some of cycling's biggest brands and even buy something for yourself.

Following a big day on the bike you will have well and truly earned a drink and appetisers before dinner. First drink and appetisers are on us!

Dinner: 7.00pm
Dinner will be at one of our favourite restaurants in town. You'll enjoy some of the best pasta in Australia!



DAY 3 - Stage 1


Tuesday 19 Jan, 2021

TDU Race: The 2021 Santos Tour Down Under officially kicks off today with Stage 1. DETAILS TBC

Optional Santini Group Ride, powered by Connect Sport: 6:30am
If you are keen for an early start you are more than welcome to join us for the Santini Group Ride, powered by Connect Sport. You need to register online (we'll provide you with the details) and arrive at 6:00am to check in at the Santini stand in the City of Adelaide Tour Village. This morning’s ride will take us up Norton Summit, across to Mt Lofty and back down again. A 51km ride with a little over 800m of climbing with a free Santini gift bag and coffee on our return to the City of Adelaide Tour Village. Just be warned that we will only get back just prior to our official tour ride departure time of 9:30am!

The 2021 course is yet to be released, but rest assured that we will design a course to allow us to see some of the best spots along the race route to see the pro's in action. DAY 4 - Stage 2

If you are keen for an early start you are more than welcome to join us for the Santini Group Ride, powered by Connect Sport. You need to register online (we'll provide you with the details) and arrive at 6:00am to check in at the Santini stand in the City of Adelaide Tour Village. This morning’s ride will be the longest of the week as we ride up Greenhill Road before heading over to Stirling to do a lap of the circuit often used in the TDU. On the way back down into town we’ll divert off the old freeway bike path for one final climb before descending back down into Adelaide. A 65km ride with 1,260m of climbing with a free Santini gift bag and coffee on our return to the City of Adelaide Tour Village. Just be warned that we will only get back just prior to our official tour ride departure time of 10:00am!

The final opportunity to join us for an early spin! The last Santini Group Ride, powered by Connect Sport starts at the usual time of 6:30am. You need to register online (we'll provide you with the details) and arrive at 6:00am to check in at the Santini stand in the City of Adelaide Tour Village. This morning’s ride will be the same beach course down to Outer Harbour that we completed on Monday. It’s an easy 55km ride with a free Santini gift bag and coffee on our return to the City of Adelaide Tour Village. Just be warned that we will only get back just prior to our official tour ride departure time of 9:30am!

Today will be a special day! We will have our very own dedicated hospitality area to watch the race while sitting back relaxing and enjoying some of the best food, wine and beers of the region!

The Legends’ Night dinner is on tonight. If you haven’t been to one of these we’d strongly encourage you to add this extra item to your shopping cart. They are always wonderful evenings hearing from some of the greats of cycling while enjoying a 3 course meal with the who’s who of cycling. DAY 8 - Stage 6

Our final day on the bikes! We’ll head out early to ensure we get in a good ride before settling into a great location to view the final stage of the TDU. The 2021 course is yet to be released, but rest assured that we will design a course to allow us to see some of the best spots along the race route to see the pro's in action. If we end up a considerable distance from Adelaide we will provide transport for you and your bike back to Adelaide. Watch this space for course updates!

Pre-dinner drink and appetisers: 6.00pm
Tonight we celebrate! Following a spectacular week, we will get together for our final drinks prior to dinner. First drink and appetisers are on us!

Dinner: 7.00pm
Our restaurant tonight will be a short walk from our pre-dinner drinks venue. Our final night will be one to remember!



DAY 9 - Check-out


Monday 25 Jan, 2021

Checkout: 10.00am departure
We will endeavour to help everyone get to the airport or their next destination after checking out of your hotel. Time to head back to reality. You’ll be heading home with a new group of mates, wonderful memories of your time at the TDU and some tired legs!
